What We Do

Our mission is simple: to prepare you for natural disasters and acts of violence.

We understand how overwhelming it can be to see natural disasters and acts of violence unfold across the country and how difficult it can be to find comprehensive solutions.

We all have that one event that shapes us forever.

After the impacts of 9/11 shook my small community in Monterey, CA, I knew, even at 13 years old, that I wanted to be a helper. I knew that I could have an impact on how communities and organizations healed after an impactful event.

As it became clear that Emergency Management would become my destination I began to see exactly what it would take to prepare ourselves for the challenges of a natural disaster or act of violence.

THE VALUE OF A PLAN IS IMMEASURABLE

Throughout my career in Emergency Management and getting to work with incredible organizations like The Pentagon Reservation, American Red Cross, U.S. Capitol Campus, FEMA and others, I began to truly see what was missing. We serve clients with a unique blend of action and empathy. It’s imperative that your organization is heard and given the space to process the emotional high stakes of disaster preparedness.

EmilyJane is a CEO of Golden Hour Preparedness which allows organizations and their employees to discuss and plan proactively about how they will take care of themselves and how the organization can get back to normal after a disaster or emergency.

Our Client Commitment

  • We will equip you with the resources and tools you need to be properly prepared for the inevitable, without adding in heavy administrative processes.

  • We understand the overwhelm that comes with wanting to maintain emotional security for your employees. We’re here to help guide you through it all.

  • The key to keeping everyone safe is being honest no matter the circumstances.

OUR MOTTO

Luck favors the prepared. Prepare now so resilience is your automatic response.”

My approach is to develop a resiliency score for each organization that is custom-built to accurately reflect the organization’s unique characteristics and resilience capacity.

We know that there isn’t a one-size-fits all approach or compliance based program that is just designed to meet the standard. Instead, we focus on building a light, reflexive, sensitive, structure that is maintained by your team so you can identify - in real time- the status of the overall organizational resilience.
